A Dump Yard Product

Gin & Tonic

Project overview:

With the purpose of challenging current trends in a market dominated primarily with alcohol packaging that focuses on a sleek and sophisticated design instead of a maximalist approach, I wanted to experiment with the possible ways I could make canned alcoholic beverage containers appear a little more interesting. My inspiration for this approach were a few brands like Makazai a home grown Indian rum brand and Doja and Indo-Japanese gin.

Purpose:

The project aims to challenge the prevailing trends in alcohol packaging, which often emphasize sleek and sophisticated designs, by exploring a maximalist approach. Inspired by brands like Makazai, Doja, and Indo-Japanese gin, the goal is to inject a new level of visual interest into canned alcoholic beverage containers, making them stand out in a market saturated with minimalist aesthetics.
